What a stocked breakroom actually takes
A full breakroom keeps people on site and in a better mood, yet the work behind it never stops. Someone tracks how much coffee is left, orders the sparkling water, picks up snacks after work and unpacks it all the next morning. San Jose Commercial Cleaning Co runs that loop for you. We purchase what is on your order, bring it in, fill the shelves and refrigerator and leave the space in order.
Pantry restocking is sold as its own service. Book it alone, or combine it with cleaning from us.
Coordinated with cleaning, if we do that too
If your building also signs up for our San Jose office cleaning, the pantry visit can come right after the nightly crew, so the kitchen opens clean and fully stocked. Or choose a morning restock so fresh fruit and milk are at their best for the day. Heavier kitchen work, such as microwaves, appliance exteriors and floors, is cleaning work that office cleaning covers, not part of the pantry visit.
Restroom and breakroom-sink products, including hand soap, paper towels and liners, sit under our janitorial supplies service, so one provider can look after both.
Planning the order
Every pantry starts with a short planning session. We walk the kitchen, look at what you buy now and ask your point of contact three things: what the team likes, what gets thrown out and what is missing. Dietary requirements belong in that same talk, so vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free or nut-free choices are designed into the order from the start instead of bolted on later.
Then you choose an amount to spend each month. Purchases stay inside it, and your contact approves any change to the items or the amount. If staff requests would carry an order over, we check first.
What we typically buy
- Coffee and tea: whole beans or pre-ground, bagged and loose tea, plant-based and dairy creamer, sweetener and sugar packets
- Beverages: sodas, juice, still and sparkling bottled water and energy drinks
- Snacks: protein bars, nuts, chips, cookies and fresh or dried fruit
- Breakroom supplies: napkins, plastic cutlery, paper plates, and cups with lids
That is the outline. The finished order is shaped by your staff, and you can revise it as often as you like. Items nobody touches come off the list, and the favorites get larger quantities.
Restock day
Consumption sets the schedule. A small office might need a single restock a week, while a large campus kitchen needs several. On each visit we bring older items forward, pull anything out of date, refill the coffee and tea station, put drinks into the refrigerator, fill snack bins and cabinets, and haul the packaging away.
The tidy-up
Each restock finishes with a short tidy. We wipe countertops and tables, clear the sink area, reset the coffee station and arrange the refrigerator so things are easy to find. Expired food is removed under whatever policy your office picks.
Office kitchens across San Jose
A campus that spreads several buildings across one site often gives each building a lounge or kitchen of its own, and keeping all of them equally stocked is where a set order and a fixed schedule pay off.
A high-rise floor may share one kitchen among several departments, while smaller firms and clinics make do with a kitchenette. In a shop with a back-room breakroom, staff come and go at different hours from open to close, so the shelves need to hold up through the whole day. Coworking floors with a communal kitchen fit the service too, as does any office where nobody on staff has time to manage the kitchen.
How pantry pricing works
Product costs are billed against your monthly spending amount. The service charge follows headcount and the number of breakrooms first, then restocking frequency, the grade of coffee and snacks you select and how much tidying each visit includes.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Do we have to book cleaning with you to use pantry restocking?
No. Pantry restocking is sold by itself. A building that never sees our cleaning crews can still have us shop and stock.
How are dietary restrictions handled?
They are noted on your order during setup, and every product we buy is checked against those notes. Your contact can add a new restriction at any time.
Can each building on our campus have its own order?
Yes. Each breakroom gets its own items and quantities, and all of them run on one restock schedule.
What happens if staff want something new added?
Your point of contact passes the request along. The item shows up on the next restock if it fits the monthly amount, or once you approve an increase.
