A desk that belongs to someone new each morning
In a coworking space, desk 14 changes hands every day, between people who have never met. Members pay for a place that feels better than a coffee shop and more polished than a spare bedroom, and they notice crumbs on a shared desk or a ring under the coffee machine at once. Prospective members on a tour notice even faster, and your community manager should be greeting them and selling memberships, not wiping tables between tours.
Flexible workspace in San Jose turns up in many kinds of buildings: whole floors of downtown towers, older commercial buildings converted into open studios, and suites tucked into office parks in the north of the city. Wherever yours is, the room list is written around how your members actually use it, not around a standard office template.
Open seating, reserved desks and private suites
Open hot-desk areas get a full pass each night. Crews wipe every cleared desktop, chair arm and monitor arm, empty the bins and vacuum or mop beneath the rows. Laptops, notebooks and personal items left on a desk are not moved; a crew member wipes whatever desktop is left open around them.
Dedicated desks and locked private offices follow your membership terms, whether office cleaning comes with every membership or is an add-on members choose. Each office is a separate line on the route, and a room is entered only if you have authorized it and supplied the key or access.
Phone booths, meeting rooms and glass walls
Call after call happens inside each phone booth’s few square feet, so their door pulls, seat, shelf and walls are wiped on every visit. Bookable meeting rooms get tables, chairs, remotes and conference phones cleaned, cables coiled, and whiteboards wiped down according to your house rules. Room screens and video bars are dusted with a dry cloth, and chairs go back to the layout pinned on the wall.
Glass partitions are the signature look of many shared offices, and they show every handprint. Interior glass and glass doors are cleaned at hand height on each visit, with full-height passes scheduled on a longer cycle.
Coffee bar, kitchen and the snack shelf
The coffee bar is where members gather between calls. Crews clean counters and sinks, wipe the outside of the espresso machine, kettles and refrigerator doors, and leave the coffee bar ready for the morning. Spilled sugar and grounds come off the floor before the morning rush.
If you would rather your community team never count oat-milk cartons again, hand that job to pantry and breakroom restocking, which buys the cold brew, granola bars and sparkling water and puts them on the shelf. Toilet tissue, towels and hand soap for the restrooms are available through our janitorial supplies line.
After a launch party, workshop or meetup
Events bring new faces into the space and leave the lounge in pieces. A cleanup visit after the event folds tables, puts the furniture back in its daytime layout, clears bottles and cans to recycling, and cleans the floor, so members who arrive at eight the next morning never see what happened at nine the night before.
Send the event calendar each month, and resets are scheduled for the nights that need them. Lounge rugs and carpet tiles that take the brunt of these evenings can be lifted with periodic carpet extraction.
Restrooms, showers and the bike room
Each visit, restroom fixtures get scrubbed and disinfected, and the paper and soap dispensers are topped off. Spaces with showers for members who cycle or run to work get stall walls, floors and benches cleaned, and the bike room or locker area is swept and tidied.
Rolling chairs grind grit into the carpet tile under the desks, and lounge floors show every scuff. Open areas are vacuumed nightly with coffee drips spot-treated as they appear, hard floors are damp-mopped, and scrubbing goes on the calendar through commercial floor care when traffic lanes start to show. Wellness rooms, nursing rooms and quiet rooms get the private-office treatment each night: surfaces wiped, bins emptied, supplies refilled.
Spaces that never fully empty
Many coworking spaces give members access late into the night or around the clock. Night crews work around anyone still at a desk, starting in empty zones and saving occupied corners for last. While members are in, a day porter tidies the coffee bar, checks restrooms and straightens meeting rooms between bookings.
Every cleaner is background-checked, uses the keycard and alarm codes you provide, and follows your rules for member areas. Supervisors carry out quality inspections, and the landlord’s property manager or your operations lead receives our certificate of insurance before service begins. Teams with a single traditional office should start with office cleaning.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Do crews clean desks that members leave covered with laptops and papers?
Cleared surfaces are wiped. Personal belongings are never shifted, so the crew works around them and nobody’s setup is disturbed.
Can you restock the coffee bar and snack shelf as well as clean it?
Yes. Our pantry restocking service buys and shelves snacks, drinks and coffee supplies, and deliveries can line up with your cleaning nights.
When does cleaning happen if members can get in around the clock?
At the hour you pick as your space’s quietest. Crews begin in empty zones and finish around anyone still working, and a daytime porter can cover touch-ups.
Can the event space be reset after an evening meetup?
Yes. Share the event date and a reset visit is added that night or before members arrive the next morning.
Will crews use our keycard and alarm system?
Yes. Crews use the keycards and codes you issue and follow your entry, alarm and lock-up instructions on every visit.
